The expanding political lexicon: Jaffering

Here's two candidates for addition into the Canadian political lexicon:

ja-ffer

-verb (used with noun),
-jaffer·ed, -jaffer·ing.
1. to attempt to exonerate oneself through public humiliation.
2. to offer easily refutable excuses for bad behaviour.
3. to look like a dufus in public.

-Uses:
What a jaffer!
Steve sure jaffered himself at the meeting today.
Stop jaffering and get in the car.

gu-er-gis

-verb (used with noun),
-guergis-ed, -guergis·ing.
1.to immolate one's career in a short period, usually weeks and days rather than months or years.
2. to marry a dufus.
3. to be discarded at when troublesome.

-Uses:
I can't believe he pulled a guergis!
She's going to get guergised on Friday.
I will be guergising him later today.
